  1. Dear Eric,

I am delighted and very grateful to have both my contributions in your gallery of writers on writing. A treasure trove of poignant passages, and it’s nice to know so many people have read and commented on the poems. I especially enjoyed elizfrat’s piece.

It appears that, through the myriad of comments, many others will contribute come the next prompt. We all look forward to it, as well as to your own initial posting of the next theme.

Kudos on the tome deal, and best wishes to you, good Sir!

    Cheers,
    Paul 🙂 🙂

    1. Dear Paul,

The feeling is mutual – delighted and grateful that you joined in and helped make this ‘gallery’ a success. I simply love reading all the various takes on a given theme or prompt – it helps me understand people’s thinking which is fascinating.

Yes, every new prompt/gallery attracts a slew of new entrants – and then, the contributors whom I treasure – the regulars. The “regulars” are the ones who keep me enthused and going, and to them – we all owe immense gratitude. You have one of my regulars, Paul. Thank you my friend.

Thank you re the book project. Coming along well, kind sir 🙂

All good wishes for the weekend,
      Eric

    1. Hello and thank you, Val for dropping by.

These contributions are lovely, I agree. Hope to have you join us with the next one.

      Peace, Eric

  2. Many good ones here. Wish I could have seen the prompt in time. I would have entered. I was so busy with other things I am still catching up on others’ blogs.

    1. Hello Joyce – yes, many talented people here. I’ll be doing more ‘galleries’ so, no worries as you’ll have opportunities galore. Peace and all good wishes, Eric

  3. Hi Eric these are all wonderful but Ben get’s my vote as I feel exact the same way sometimes and he expressed it so well! I’ll try to catch the next one, I did enjoy the experience the last time I participated.

    1. Hello Penny,

Yes, with such a buffet spread, one will spring forth that resonates for us – glad you found that “one” in Ben’s contribution.

It was great to have you with us and hope to have you join us for the next gallery.

      Peace, Eric

  4. I enjoyed reading all the poems on… writing, 😉 Eric, … ah this crazy time …filling a white virgin page… ‘Tis a wonder anyone writes.. but we are pulled back time and time again, for the moving cursor encourages us , as we write and then moves on, always chivying ,methinks… xPenx

    1. Glad to have you read them all, Penny G –

      Writers all
      Drawn to write
      Like moths to light
      Spilling thoughts, emotions, words
      On virgin whites
      Writers all

      Peace, Eric 🙂

  5. Wow what a talented group of writers! Helena, Tammy Jane, Ailia and Paul Grignon’s entries are my personal favourites 🙂

    1. We’ve both “outed” 🙂

Or, perhaps the literary types are the ones getting “outed”.

You’re welcome Elizabeth and all good wishes,
      Eric

  6. Lovely to see my lines here. I had actually forgotten about these. And its always a delight to read the other contributions .

    1. Hello Soumya,

Yes, I called for contributions several weeks ago – and now realise the delay in posting actually worked out well – glad you enjoyed the ‘fresh read’ – including your lovely contribution.

      Peace, Eric

  7. I liked reading through the other contributions. (Geez, I’d forgotten I even wrote something for this!) Nice work in pulling all of them together 🙂

    1. Thank you, Janna

Yes, the contributions came in weeks ago and the delay in posting this ‘galelry’ worked out well. Several of the contributors themselves have forgotten what they wrote – gives all a fresh read, so to speak.

      All good wishes,
      Eric
P/s If not a clump of wood, it could be something a large elephant would leave behind 😯

    1. Hello and thank you, Vera – much appreciate your visit, comment and well wishes. Yes, we have many well written contributions here.
      Cheers,
      Eric

  8. Good to see you back. All of the above were lovely. I could particularly relate to Helena and Elizfrat’s pieces. Thank you for putting up my write-up among these wonderful pieces.

    1. Thank you, Padmini – yes, these are wonderful contributions as is yours 🙂 Thank you for your visit.

      Cheers, Eric
P/s I recently landed another ‘ghostwriter project’ – writing a non-fiction for a businessman – tight schedule. Together with my other projects – hence had to cut down on blogging.

    2. Yeah, good to see you back, Eric. So nice to have the background, the beautiful text and the next introduction 🙂
      Peace,
      Yoshiko
