I’ve not blogged as planned. Upon my return from NZ, I did the final touches of the manuscript for my 3rd novel and sent it off.
But, I returned brimming with ideas for a 4th novel – and simply had to work on it. Happy to say the first draft completed – yes, in less than a month. Now I’m working through the first of several revisions. Slightly easier pace…allowing me to blog…
P/s In time, I shall be responding to all who commented on my previous posts (plenty to catch up) and shall be visiting your blogs too. Have a great weekend 🙂

A draft in one month – that’s great! Glad to see back in the blogging world as well 🙂
Yes, but only a draft – all 60,000 words of it. Now to make it readable…and enjoyable 🙂
P/s Happy to be back
Well done Eric, wish I had time to be able to do that! I often say to people that a break can sometimes be just as useful as sitting at a computer everyday, especially where it pertains to writing. That time away gives the brain a rest, but also a refresh, and often those ideas flow.
Thank you Elliot – it is about 60,000 words with many more potholes to fill.
Now, where did I put that shovel…Eric 🙂
P/s Or should I be looking for my pruning snips…
Well maybe you need another day or two off, then you might find the hole filler turns up on schedule after all.
Though I’m glad your Muse is brimming I’m glad that you have been given back to us =P =)
Thank you Que – that is a lovely thing to say. All good wishes, Eric 🙂
Kudos to you on your writing and this here instantly made me think of the word my husband uses to describe what he was for girls he grew up with that just wanted to talk to him but not date: sinkeeper
LOL – sinkeeper – learnt a new word here 🙂
Wonderful about the new novel, Eric! It’s good to see you, again. (((Hugs)))
Thank you Peg – it’s only a quick draft, much more to do. Great to be back. Luv and hugz, Eric 🙂
Big hugs my lovely buddy and ‘Go Eric’..xx
Hello there ‘stranger’ – a great big hugz and much love to you from you buddy, Eric 🙂
Welcome back Eric! I love the poem very insightful.
Good to be back Susan – you always have kind words for me 🙂
You make it easy to say nice things. It’s always a pleasure to read your work. I think it helps me strive to be a better writer.
Waiting to catch up on you book soon enough and 4th novel; – certainly a good news!!!
Keep smiling!!
BLESSINGS,
-Naima.
Thank you Naima – yes, smiling is good for heart and hearth. God bless, Eric
You’re welcome 🙂
-Naima.
Clever worded … and good luck with your writing.
Ciao, Francina
Thank you Francina – I need to catch with your posts too, Eric 🙂
welcome back Eric! Missed the posts full of life, humor, and terror… with morals behind…
Thank you Soumya dear – I’m still picking up speed… Cheers, Eric 🙂
Good to see you back in action. And better yet to hear you’ve been doing some “real” writing. Good luck with it.
Dear Bumba – thank you. That word ‘real’ brought a smile to me. All good wishes, Eric 🙂
Ditto.
Glad you have had such a productive time. I don’t have much time for writing these days as we have our home up for sale and so there has been a lot of disruption of our routines. It will be good when we can make our move and get back to a relaxed program once again.
Hello Ian – always nice to hear from you. As you can probably tell, I’m playing catchup with my blog comments and responses.
Yes, I recall you are planning to move to a ‘silver’ environment. May I wish you many ‘golden’ days ahead 🙂 I plan to do the ‘silver’ thing in 2 years’ time
All we need to do is sell this house. Not easy given current world conditions. We have a lovely place to go to if we can sell.
Great to hear Eric- when you gotta write, you gotta write. I hope it goes well with the new book.
Felicia
Thank you Felicia – it is coming along well and taking the shape I envisaged 🙂 Eric
Wow, a draft in one month – I’m impressed! Glad you’re back 🙂
Thank you, Janna
I was at the computer non-stop and Lisa had to remind me to drink water, lest I dehydrate – logged almost 14 hours/day
Now I’m at an ‘easier’ pace…
Glad to be back, Eric 🙂
Yes, it’s the “horrid” conscience that can be both our instigator and nagger but definitely no secrets between us – seen the best and the worst of us.
You did it again – came back and set our grey cells working !!
I Strongly Second that!
Yes, Jasey does come up with well thought out comments – she also flatters me…knows my weakness 🙂
Hello Jasey dear – time to get the old wheels cranking again. Luv and hugz, Eric
4th novel? wow! Bows to you, master Eric. 🙂
Subhan Zein
Thank you Mas – it brims and brims, so it seems, bursting at the seams and I hurry to churn out the reams about stories of dreams that touch on lives of ice cream and….screams….
Cheers, Eric 🙂
When I read this, the first thing I thought of was Facebook. 🙂
– ooooo, shiny!
Vielen danke 🙂
LOL – how technology affects us 🙂 Thank you David
Perhaps, I should write a poem about computers next…Hmmm 🙂
Crossing fingers and toes for your novel, Eric, that is very exciting and I wish you all the best! And also very exciting to come up with new ideas for #4! Be well and happy! 🙂
Thank you about the (3rd) pending novel. I do what I can and leave the rest to HIM.
#4 – I had some rudimentary thoughts before the trip – it all came together when I returned home
Thank you for your well wishes Lauren – Luv and hugz, Eric 🙂
