I’ve not blogged as planned. Upon my return from NZ, I did the final touches of the manuscript for my 3rd novel and sent it off.

But, I returned brimming with ideas for a 4th novel – and simply had to work on it. Happy to say the first draft completed – yes, in less than a month. Now I’m working through the first of several revisions. Slightly easier pace…allowing me to blog…

P/s In time, I shall be responding to all who commented on my previous posts (plenty to catch up) and shall be visiting your blogs too. Have a great weekend 🙂

  1. Well done Eric, wish I had time to be able to do that! I often say to people that a break can sometimes be just as useful as sitting at a computer everyday, especially where it pertains to writing. That time away gives the brain a rest, but also a refresh, and often those ideas flow.

    1. Thank you Elliot – it is about 60,000 words with many more potholes to fill.

Now, where did I put that shovel…Eric 🙂

P/s Or should I be looking for my pruning snips…

  2. Kudos to you on your writing and this here instantly made me think of the word my husband uses to describe what he was for girls he grew up with that just wanted to talk to him but not date: sinkeeper

      1. You make it easy to say nice things. It’s always a pleasure to read your work. I think it helps me strive to be a better writer.

  3. Glad you have had such a productive time. I don’t have much time for writing these days as we have our home up for sale and so there has been a lot of disruption of our routines. It will be good when we can make our move and get back to a relaxed program once again.

    1. Hello Ian – always nice to hear from you. As you can probably tell, I’m playing catchup with my blog comments and responses.

Yes, I recall you are planning to move to a ‘silver’ environment. May I wish you many ‘golden’ days ahead 🙂 I plan to do the ‘silver’ thing in 2 years’ time

    1. Thank you, Janna
I was at the computer non-stop and Lisa had to remind me to drink water, lest I dehydrate – logged almost 14 hours/day
Now I’m at an ‘easier’ pace…
Glad to be back, Eric 🙂

  4. Yes, it’s the “horrid” conscience that can be both our instigator and nagger but definitely no secrets between us – seen the best and the worst of us.
You did it again – came back and set our grey cells working !!

    1. Thank you Mas – it brims and brims, so it seems, bursting at the seams and I hurry to churn out the reams about stories of dreams that touch on lives of ice cream and….screams….

      Cheers, Eric 🙂

  5. Crossing fingers and toes for your novel, Eric, that is very exciting and I wish you all the best! And also very exciting to come up with new ideas for #4! Be well and happy! 🙂

    1. Thank you about the (3rd) pending novel. I do what I can and leave the rest to HIM.
#4 – I had some rudimentary thoughts before the trip – it all came together when I returned home
Thank you for your well wishes Lauren – Luv and hugz, Eric 🙂
