How I love thee not the same…

People love, adore, write poems about you

They turn away from me, eyes filled with tears

Fickle you are, raising and lowering the tides

Constant am I, providing life and sustenance

You are parched, cold and…bluish dead

I am brilliant, hot with…throbbing life

Your beauty, drawn from me

Without me, you don’t exist

My beauty is from within

Without me, no one exists

Yet, they love you more, sister Moon

Why not me, your brother Sun

Beauty over substance?

    1. Thank you Jane, for your visit and comment.

Yes, sibling rivalry is ever prevalent but in varying degrees – it gets destructive when taken to extremes.

      Peace and blessings,
P/s I left a comment in your most recent post – I wonder whether it disappeared into your spam folder

  1. Magnificent Poem! You are a very gifted writer. I have read several of your continuing sagas…but I would really like to start at the beginning and read them through to the last post. Where might I find the start of these sagas? They are so wonderful!

I also forgot to post a notification here about nominating you for the Top Recent Commenter Award. Thank you so much for your constant support and kindness! Enjoy this new award!

    1. Dear Cindy,

If you are referring to Mechanic Leigh, it starts with Episode 1: My Name is Leigh >

You can also read an introduction in the page (shown at the top row) Life of Mechanic Leigh here

No worries about not notifying me about the award. As you know, I visited and posted on your blog yesterday. Thank you and glad that you welcome and like my comments. Thank you for your visits and comments too.

      Luv and peace, Eric
