I have discovered a few typos now that I should have spotted before. I don’t want to take up any more space on Eric’s site so I’ll repost the corrected version in a reply to your comment on “Mary Oliver: In Memoriam”.

That’s bad, Indira,
Having to resort to sleeping pills.
I get to sleep fast and am grateful for it. On the odd night, I might toss and turnaround but those are rare.
Sleep is the best repair function given to us, be it emotional or physical. Even if there is no answers, we know we are better equipped to face the challenge of the day. I can’t imagine the torture for those who suffers from insomnia.
You’re right, our physical bodies require sleep. But our spiritual bodies (soul, spirit, or whatever you wish to cal it) do not need rest, as we know it. At least not in the Third Dimension.
Some cultures view sleep as “little deaths” – plenty of truth in it, I reckon. It’s not as macabre as some might think.
Peace,
Eric

Sleep…what an amazing change agent that has been put into the mix of life.
Hello Ankur,
I like what you say – a change agent. A full sleep uplifts us. The reverse is also true.
Cheers!

During exams nothing could keep me awake, now when i have all the time to sleep, it eludes me. sleeping pills give some respite.
Eric, if you are having problems with insomnia e-mail me. I may have a solution and I should be happy to share it..
Hmmmm, I wonder who is the one suffering from insomnia 🙂
Sorry, but I could not resist the temptation.

I wish I could answer all questions wile sleeping. But they keep me awake and remain unanswered.
Hello Rab,
If you’re awake, then you’re not asleep and perhaps that’s why answers prove elusive 🙂
Have a good night’s sleep,
Eric
