Thank you all for your votes and comments regarding the book cover. The results were similar to a 100-metre dash. More telling were the private emails received 🙂

The Amazon Kindle version of Mechanic Leigh is due for release next week and I shall send email alerts to all who requested free copies as noted in the “Comment” in this post > Book Cover Poll

If you wish to receive a free e-Copy and haven’t already done so, please leave a note in the “Comment” below and I shall be happy to ensure you receive the email alert.

Meanwhile, here is the intro video. Depending on your time zone, have some coffee, tea or (better yet) Jack Daniels 🙂 as you view it.

Over to >>> Mechanic Leigh, Mother, Mr Sir and Ghost Writer.

Thank you to all the kind souls who commented encouraged and kept me enthused when I was running the Mechanic Leigh series between November 2011 and March 2013.

************ Have a great week ahead ************

  1. Hello my lovely buddy, I love the cover, it ‘feels’ just right. I would love an email from you please. I also loved the video and went on to watch your ‘code’ one. How could I have missed that on YouTube? I think you’re very special….you rock. Big hugs and much love, Xxx

    1. You know, Jane dear – your loyalty and love for your friends drive you to see only the good in us and what we do 🙂 Thank you for all your support and well wishes and yes, you’re already on my email list 🙂

      Luv and hugz back,

  2. I love the video, it makes the characters come alive, it’s as if I can
hear them at the back in a friendly “banter”. An “innocent” and witty touch of humor adds that enticing factor to draw me,the reader. RSVP a download copy….heh! heh! heh!
Congratulations on the upcoming launch. Go for it.

    1. Hello Jasey dearest,

I did wonder where you were 🙂

Very glad indeed that you love the video and yes, I tried to convey the flavour of the language and characters in this short intro.

Got you on the ‘download list’ – Heh! Heh! Heh!

    1. Hello Kaytee,

Yes, life does intrude, I suppose, and good to see you back 🙂

Thank you for your kind words. I’ve included you in the “download list” and you’ll get to read Mechanic Leigh very soon 🙂

      All good wishes,
      Eric

    1. Hello Joyce,

I already have you on my ‘download list’ my dear – I borrowed the description from Wendy above.

It’ll be my pleasure to have you read Mechanic Leigh.

      All good tidings,
      Eric

    1. Hello Wendy,

That’s lovely about the video 🙂 And thank you, yes, of course – I’ve added you to my ‘download list’.

      All good wishes,
      Eric

  3. Great news about the upcoming release! I like the video – especially the bit about stealing fruit this week and he confesses it was last week. Splitting hairs and choosing words carefully is something I do around here with my boys 🙂

    1. Hello Janna dear,

Yes, Leigh is quite a handful and we recognise some of his traits not only from our own childhood but in our children’s too 🙂

When it suits them, children are experts in language nuances 🙂

Thank you and all good wishes,
      Eric

  4. Hi Eric. I’d love to read Mechanic Leigh when it’s out. I´ll drop you a message in the other post.
As to the video it is witty and stimulating… I liked it very much… Also the music was a remarkable good choice.
Looking forward to read some episodes over here,
    Best regards,
    Aquileana 😛

    1. Hello Aquileana dear,

I already have you in my list and will be happy to alert you when the free download goes live 🙂

Your take on the video is heartening. I’ve also received similar encouraging words from some other commenters. I was afraid the music might have been a bit sombre. I had only a few clips and chose what I thought was the most appropriate. Thank you my dear.

Yes, when the book is launched, I shall also post some episodes.

      Peace and blessings,
      Eric

  5. Eric, congratulations, this looks really good. Nice video too. I don’t know if I signed up for a copy of not but I’d love to read it whenever it’s out.

    1. Hello David,

You’re already on my list – you can’t get away that easy, my friend 🙂

Thank you re video. For my previous books I engaged professionals but this time, decided to do my own. Glad that it finds favour.

      All good wishes,
      Eric

    1. Hello Susan,

Yes, of course. It’ll be my great pleasure to alert you, so that you can download a free ebook.

You’ve often commented on Leigh’s antics, and one of the people who kept me going when I started this series 🙂

All good wishes dear and thank you,
      Eric

  6. How come I missed Mechanic Leigh? I know I’ve been lurking in my cavern out of touch with the outside world for months now, but still! Best of luck with the launch, Eric. I see you went with the yellow cover. Reminds me of the Wizard of Oz, dreamlike.

    1. Hello Jane,

I started this series before we connected in Blogsville – so, mystery solved 🙂

Got you on the list and will alert you when the free download for the ebook is ready.

The cover was a very difficult choice and I’ve learned a few good lessons from this. The good news is, down the road, I can always change the cover.

Thank you and all good wishes with your book(s) too,
      Eric

    1. Hey, that’s super 🙂 I tried various versions and settled on this – more illustrative of the voices to expect in the book.

If you recall, Stephen, when I started Mechanic Leigh, you rolled out JP – something there for you to develop into a book. I also believe those “As I Sat On The Bus” series has potential 🙂

You’re on my list, my friend and I’ll alert you regarding the ebook.

      Have a great week ahead,
      Eric

    1. Thank you, Bill

I know that you’re a big fan of Mechanic Leigh 🙂

Unfortunately, we were supposed to attend a friend’s baptism in church but I could not make it on Saturday but Lisa went. Otherwise, the Holy Week observations were great.

      Peace and blessings,
      Eric
