    1. Thank you, Janna, for your well wishes. I appreciate this.

The only caveat is, when someone says, I’m in my 40’s, it is easier to guess their age as the zodiac rotates once every 12 years. Therefore, for celebrities, especially those who are coy about their age – they don’t want to let on their Chinese zodiac sign. For the rest of us mortals – no issues.

All good tidings for the New Year of the Horse,
      Eric

    1. Ah, I knew we had more in common than mere good looks 🙂

Wishing you my personal best for many more Happy, Healthy and Prosperous Years ahead, Cynthia dear.

      – Eric –

    1. I like that, Mira dear – “Hell’s only path…” It says much.

Happy to have you back. I suppose the demands of living takes precedence for all of us. I’ve cut down my postings from daily to thrice a week.

      Peace and blessings,
      Eric

  1. I take this in two ways :
    i) Ignorance of an invention leads someone to re-invent the wheel, blissfully happy of his discovery; OR
ii) Ignorance in the “peril” of marriage, finds a mistress to discover that he has just re-inventedf the wheel … LOL.

Wishing you a Happy New Year – as you know those born in the year of the Sheep as yourself are the luckiest zodiac sign this year. So make all the wonderful things happen for you with great divine help !!!

    1. Hello Jasey dearest,

We see it all around us – people, instituitions and even governments committing the same errors repeatedly.

Love your take on mistresses – in time, no better than the original. LOL! Might as well remain with the wife, I reckon.

Thank you dear, for your good wishes for the Year of the Horse. My personal best wishes for a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous Year of the Horse to you.

Keep safe, keep well in your travels,
      Eric

    1. Thank you, David and yes, it’s great here – and just got off from all that feasting to check out the blog 🙂

You guys must be celebrating the Lunar Year in Korea too, I believe.

      All good tidings,
      Eric

    1. Hello Georgia dear,

Yes it is the Year of the (wood) Horse – one of 5 elements – wood, metal, fire, water and earth.

Thank you and a Happy New Year to you too,
      Eric

    1. Thank you, Ian – we put it out there and marvel at the thoughts that our words provoke. Along the way, we learn – quite often, the writer more than the readers.

  2. Happy New Year We are celebrating, with our Chinese friends, even here in Texas. Our Chinese hostess says that she is cooking a feast for us!

I’m not sure that I can tie in your pithy comment entitled “Mistress” to the Year of the Horse. Perhaps I oughtn’t try?. You always do such a good job with these messages – food for thought.

    Cheerio, Jane

    1. Hello Jane dear,

When she says ‘feast’ – it’s gonna be a feast, I’m sure 🙂 Festivals are great excuses to meet, greet and rebond with family and friends – especially those whom we don’t have occasion to meet during our daily lives.

Oh, my post “Mistress” is quite unrelated to my Chinese (Lunar) New Year greetings. But I do hope, it triggers some reflection.

Enjoy your celebrations with your Chinese friends,
      Eric

  3. Such a coincidence !: I am horse in the chinese horoscope!

Happy lunar New Year ; Eric ,

    Cheers, Aquileana 🙂
