  1. Glad to see a post from you!

I like this, but when I ponder on it, my thoughts start to blur and I end up confusing myself (it feels like I’m in my college Philosophy class again :))

    1. Hello Janna – so nice of you to drop in.

As you know, I always held that there are no right or wrong answers in these matters, but only a reflection of our level of spirituality and attainment. The fact that you are pondering on it – shows you are well ahead of most. Certainly, ahead of yours truly.

All good wishes for the weekend,
      Eric 🙂

  2. I think the preface Flannery O’Connor wrote to her novel “Wiseblood” got it perfect. Somehow in my mind what she said sounds like what you are saying here. And I loved the book as well. But what you said here and what she said there, I am not sure I understand either way.
    Thanks for thinking.

    1. Hello Carroll,
Yes, O’Connor and Wiseblood (not to mention Huston’s movie adaptation) had made quite an impression on many.

My sentiments about this post – We dig as deep as we can and stop for a breather – always aware that there is more depth than we can ever reach – especially while here in the Third. The idea is not to lament the depths we can’t attain – but the fact that we are trying – it is a journey – and what a journey.

I hope you can follow the installments of Fallen Grace – The Return, which delves into this and more. The next post will be up tomorrow.

      Cheers, Eric

  3. Is freedom an irony, an act of retaliation or self-consolation knowing the reality is otherwise. Strange that we created such a word – but humans are strange anyway. Glad that you are back to get our grey cells working…

  4. The visible and invisible world, the physical, mental and spiritual planes are all governed by “laws” or “rules”, without which everything would just blow up and fall apart. There are laws of physics, moral laws, and laws we impose upon other people and upon ourselves. I would presume that existence requires being subjected to rules, and to have the luxury (or freedom) to exist, one would have to live with rules, a sort of catch-22.

  5. Very true! am back to wordpress after long time & good to see your short stark verses Eric!
Existence…means rules……inclusive of all twisted undigestable ways of bending rules too.
    thanxx fr this share 🙂

    1. Hello Susan,
Yes, taken to extremes this might hold true. As other readers have pointed out – the nature of the Third and perhaps even the Beyond is bound by (for want of a better word) Rules.
      All good wishes,
      Eric
