  1. a cinematic scene gauzily adorned with beauty
echoing a well aged expectation fed to daughters with caution-laden eyes
that widen in the fear of judgement
a woman’s virtue measured in how well it has been protected

    1. You’re right. A woman’s virtue is much more, I agree.

In some societies – one can only wonder how many men would accept a woman who has ‘known’ another, and how many mothers-in-law would accept such a daughter-in-law.

The hypocrisy of people can be amusing, to say the least.

      1. I could only write so because I felt you would understand =)
nevertheless it was an enthralling read elegantly captured =)

    1. You know Soma dear – I’m so used to reading your somewhat Irreverent but always seriously thoughtful posts – it is strange to read a ‘straight’ comment such as this.

So unlike you – but I say this in a very nice way 🙂

      Much luv and hugz, Eric

    1. Halo Pak, dan berharap semuanya baik-baik. Terima kasih atas kunjungan Anda dan keinginan yang baik. Semoga hari besar di depan. Eric.

P/S: Saya minta maaf jika saya membuat kesalahan dalam jawaban saya

Thank you Pak. I appreciate your visit and compliments. Have a great day ahead, Eric

    1. Dear Marina – what a wonderful and thoughtful gesture. Recognition by fellow bloggers is very welcomed. Thank you.

As writers, we are on a somewhat lonely journey. A smiling face and a small cheerful wave makes it better. We can all do with some encouragement, I reckon.

      All good wishes, Eric

    1. “Radha is an experience” – this phrase caught my eye. I can read much into this and yes, you are absolutely right.

Glad that it brought some light into your day. The world needs more ‘light’.

  2. The first stanza really drew me in, “I bathe your feet with ancient rites / Of turmeric dust, flower scented milk / Shyness hides under sandalwood past / Henna tempts with magic on your skin.” Immediately taken to that place and time. Phrased very well too. Very nice!

    1. I hope you don’t mind me saying this – You’re probably a very sensitive and loving person – we need more such people as this world can otherwise be quite harsh.

      All good cheer, Eric

      1. Thank you for the very kind words, I don’t see how I could mind at all :-). And thank you for the support. Looking forward to your next post.

    1. Yes, you did drop off a bit there…Glad that you are back and thank you for the compliment. I’ll be visiting your blog to relish more of your posts…
      – Eric

    1. Dear Soumya,
Glad you found it so – yes, true love and real beauty can be divine when entwined.
All the very best with your forthcoming anthology of poems,
      Eric

      1. Thaks Eric, still struggling with the editing part of the proof copy…hopefully I complete it soon properly.

  3. One word would suffice.. FANTASTIC..
I don’t know if u know that. but the lady in your picture is actually a Hindu mythology character Radha ( Lover of lord Krishna).. the epitome beauty, grace n love

    1. Thank you Jyoti.
Yes, Radha is a divine beauty. No I didn’t know but posted the image as she was the kind of person I had in mind when penning this post.
      All good wishes, Eric

    2. Jyoti – I would love to comment on your blog posts but it does not allow WP (only yahoo, facebook, etc) – I’m afraid not into these.
