Right now, we Singaporeans have enough self-serving idiots who pay themselves multi-million dollar wages – highest paid ministers in the world – to keep us busy without having to poke our noses in the politics of another country.
But I hear you. Throughout the world, a politician who puts the people above partisan politics and/or greed is as rare as hen’s teeth. Some do start off decent and with all the right dreams/intentions but after some time they too sink into the cesspool.
Peace,
Eric

And don’t we have a classic illustration of that on our international scene. The world waits with breath held in for the hangover which we will all share, innocent and all.
Hello Ian,
Very true and it is more prevalent than most recognize. Even countries with glitzy skylines have depleted their store of integrity while the party continues.

Temporal power, indeed, intoxicates. A government needs a leader, not a dictator.
Hello Jigme,

Well said, Eric. I think “intoxication” is too refined a word to use in this context. Drunken revelry is more like it.
LOL!
Good one, Ina π
Drunken revelry it is.
Cheers!

Are you giving advice relative to our upcoming USA mid-term election, or should I merely take this as the general truth that it is?
