born on the first, by chance I’m much older than you !!! π Happy birthday
Hmmm, I wonder Jasey,
Even with an annual birthday, some husbands forget…
But you’re right – they only need to buy presents once every 4 years π
Unless of course, the wife insists that husband ‘makes up’ for it.
Cheers!
Eric
Good one, Eric.
I would prefer to age 25 years only, then in 200 years, I will only be 50 years old. I can earn in my first 25 years of age, retire, and enjoy in the next 25 years. I’ll still be young enough.
Neat thought, some might go on to 26 or more but not many. I recently wrote a short story, a spoof on Sleeping Beauty, in which those born on 2/29 are featured. Anyway for you, a fellow leo, HB for the event in August.
Yes, I recall reading your post ROSAMUNDβS SLEEP.
A fellow Leo, yes I recall.
Here is a little sharing – I don’t celebrate my birthday. No particular reason – I simply don’t.
However, I had been surprised on two occasions. Once in 1990s, when Lisa and the entire clan conspired and appeared at my door step. Of course, throughout the day, Lisa was acting kinda strange… but I did not catch on until they threw open the doors and walked in π
In 2012, Alicia and Adamson flew home unexpectedly from Brisbane and NYC and treated me to a surprise dinner at a posh restaurant. Of course, they had it all planned with their mother and our youngest, Amelia. That was lovely and memorable.
OK. Will try this again. π Happy birthday. And do celebrate with a big bang up, blow out, ‘baby boomer’ raucous party. Eat a cake covered in lit candles. (Blow them out first). π Every breath we take at our age is reason enough to celebrate. π
I wish.
Yes, don’t we all π
We do.
Happy belated birthday, Eric! Just think how young you are then given the day doesn’t come every year π
Not my birthday, ChristyB,
B but thank you for your wishes. This post was on behalf of all those born on 29 February π
Cheers!

Well, Bill,
You have age and wisdom
I have youth and – Heh! Heh! Heh!
Happy Birthday to you too π
They refuse to put candles on my cake any more as the blaze may need to have a fire brigade call out. lol
LOL! That’s a thought.
Perhaps 29 Feb is a great birthday after all – cuts down on home insurance premiums π
Cheers!
On 2400, you’ll miss an extra one!
LOL – and when it all started at year zero, you would have arrived 4 years late π
π
The husband will like it, since they only need to remember the wife’s birthday every four years.

Ha ha. I just got that, too. I forgot that there is only 28 days in Feb. Thanks for reminding me. π

Thank you, Joyce and shall celebrate when my birthday falls – come August π
I don’t know why you were unable to post. I could see your notification but nothing came through. Oh well, WP is at it again, I suppose.
Thank you for your persistence and all good wishes,
Eric
You too.
Happy Birthday! Guess you have to pick another day to celebrate it. Wishing you a good year!
Thank you Connie, for your visit and comment.
Actually, it is not my birthday. The ‘haiku’ was to highlight the unique situation faced by people born on 29th Feb π
All good wishes,
Eric
