An aircraft engineer, logistician, and former corporate executive, Eric Alagan is also a keen observer of people.
Like many self-taught authors, Eric flowed with his muse and wrote thrillers, humour and even non-fiction. His writing gravitated to his passion for history and interest in geopolitics.
Now, he focuses on historical fiction rich in convoluted plots.
Eric’s novels draw from historical facts; myths; legends; and mores of the times. His stories fill with realism and transports the reader to experience life as it was in centuries past.
To give his muse an avenue for expression, Eric uses this blog. He writes flash fiction, haiku and verse in all genres.
He spends a typical day, reading, researching, writing, and revising his manuscripts.

He is also an exercise junkie and enjoys his daily walk-a-jogs. He loves road-biking. But after his 90-year-old grandma beat him in a cycling race, he stays away from road-biking.
He wanted to take up sky-diving but Grandma beat him to it too—she already has 84 jumps to her credit including 12 free-falls from 15,000 feet. Grandma is also into rock-climbing, lumber-jacking and scuba-diving.
Eric has decided that he will simply try to out-live her.

You’re right, I’ve always seen blogging as a platform to meet people from all over the world. And what a learning experience! So, very true.

Hi, Eric. Just tried to follow a link from a comment you’d made on ‘Wibble’, expecting to find your site. I was met with a page that said ‘ericalagan.wordpress.com doesn’t exist’. You might want to look into this, as you will be missing out on traffic to your site because of your name change. You should be able to set things up so that http://ericalagan.wordpress.com/ acts as an alias for http://ericalagan.net/ericalagan/ — which would mean that the great many old links that exist to your site still work.

From what I know about how these website thingies are set up (I used to be in that business myself, many moons ago) I bet ‘ericalagan.wordpress.com’ is the subdomain of wordpress.com you were allocated when you set your account up — in the same way that pendantry.wordpress.com is the address of my blog ‘Wibble’.
I’m just trying to help… I believe you will be losing traffic as a result of this, and would suggest you check your DNS configuration to add ‘ericalagan.wordpress.com’ as an alternative to ‘ericalagan.net’.

I truly appreciate your concern and help – please don’t get me wrong. I did a self check – WordPress allows this – whether traffic is re directed and confirmed that it is so. When I first registered with WordPress the sub domain ‘ericalagan.wordpress.com’ was already taken up by someone else and I had to use another sub domain.
But I’ll recheck with WordPress Support.

We are all complex, I suppose, and thanks to our education system, sometimes we tend to put people in pigeon holes. I believe everyone uses their logical and creative sides. However, some disciplines do tend to view these abilities in narrower regimes, as it helps with better understanding.
