I posted a poem on that subject not long ago Eric. I believe I called it “Lost in translation” and I think that may have been the case. “Meek” was perhaps a mistranslation of something like the good or the kind or the just — those who preferred peace but would fight if they had to. The problem with “meek” is it implies weakness, and I doubt the weak will inherit the Earth.
…unless humans have destroyed all other forms of life before they die out themselves.
A likely scenario, Ankur.
Unfortunately none of us will unless we make drastic changes in lifestyle.
Very true, Ian
Peace,
Eric

You’re probably right, Dennis.
Words do take on new meanings. “Weak” would be a more appropriate word. Thank you for pointing out.
All good wishes,
Eric
None will inherit. Humans will destroy all and incur the wrath of mother nature. A new creation begins and hopefully not of the same mistake.
Wow!
Quite apocalyptic, Windy, but probable unless the collective “we” get our act together NOW.
Since our so-called “leaders” in government and big-business are self-serving morons – your prediction is not too far off, I fear.
Weeding is required so that new shoots might flourish.
Peace,
Eric
The meek will kill themselves trying to feed their children
That’s one way of looking at it, Mak.
the rich and powerful rise and fall, the meek endure..
Truly spoken, Bill.
