The trouble with hoarding is it doesn’t seem like hoarding when you’re doing it! More like essential and very sensible!πIt’s only when something happens to open your eyes to the realities that you realise and do something about it!

Very true, Wolfie,
I used do it all the time – pick up or keep something just in case…
What I do now is if I’ve not used something for a period – it could be a year or 5 years (depending on what it is) – it goes. I give it away.
Cheers!

You’ve mailed this one, my special buddy. I help folk declutter now and am learning more each and every day. Hugs Xx π

Hello Jane dear,
You’re helping people and also making a living out of your decluttering business.
But it also tells me that people trust you enough to let you into their homes and to peek into their most private corners and memories. No big business can ever replicate your business model which anchors on trust – first and last.
Keep it up and God bless,
Eric

Oh flippin’ heck Eric, I meant ‘nailed’.. but I guess you worked that out. I must put my specs on!!
Thank you for your insightful comment. I am humbled by the trust placed in me by people who start out as strangers. It reinforces for me how we are all connected.
Hugs for you and Lisa and God bless. Xx π

We were taught to hoard more and worry more in case of rainy days and that’s good practice. The turning point would be when it turns to greed. Then you have a new set of worries.

Hello Windy dear,
Yes, saving for a rainy day is prudent. But greed that leads to hoarding and grabbing something for no other reason than to deny others – that is silly and sick.
Luv and hugz from a friend,

That’s a great thought, Khushbu,
Good one!
There are enough riches to lift everyone out of poverty, I reckon. But when the richest 1% owns half the world’s wealth, we know the system is flawed.

I sometimes hoard more than I need. Have to declutter the mess

Hello Shalilah,
That’s another take on hoarding. Good one.
You’re right. All of us need to declutter our homes, some more than others, I reckon.

That’s very true. Nobody is going to kidnap me for my wealth as it wouldn’t be worth all their effort! LOL I’m sure the rich have a lot of worries trying to protect what they have.

Hello Ian,
I’m in the same boat. And if they broke into my house, they will find many valuable stuff – keepsakes and treasures that only my family and I can appreciate.
The obscenely rich spend half their time fleecing the world, and the other half trying to avoid taxes, I reckon.
Peace,
Eric
