Humour is always a good start to the week as it brushes away most Monday morning blues. I was undecided between using the Brothers Grinn or Mechanic Leigh but…
BROTHER GRINN: I volunteered.
BROTHER GRINN: I volunteered too.
MECHANIC LEIGH: These two will get scolded by Eric. Heh! Heh! Heh!
SHUT UP!
BROTHER GRINN: Was that Eric?
MECHANIC LEIGH: That was my teacher, Mister Sir.
BROTHER GRINN: Oh.
BROTHER GRINN: No, Brother Grinn. That was his Mister Sir.
BROTHER GRINN: Oh.
Rest assured that when you, the readers, comment on my blog posts, the Brothers Grinn will not be allowed to reply. I will reply.
BROTHER GRINN: God will reply.
BROTHER GRINN: God is going to put us out of work.
Do you understand, boys?
MECHANIC LEIGH: Yes, Ghost Writer, I mean God. Wait for it, here it comes. Heh! Heh! Heh!
Do you understand, boys?
BROTHER GRINN: Is God talking to us?
BROTHER GRINN: I do.
BROTHER GRINN: You do? What do you do?
You will not be allowed to reply to comments. Do you understand?
BROTHER GRINN: Sigh! Okay, I do.
BROTHER GRINN: I do too.
BROTHER GRINN: Did Eric just get us married?
SHUT UP!
BROTHER GRINN: Hey! Mechanic Leigh, what’s with your Mister Sir?
MECHANIC LEIGH: Heh! Heh! Heh!
BROTHER GRINN: My ears are ringing.
BROTHER GRINN: Hello? Oh, wrong number.
BROTHER GRINN: I think the line got cut. It was—
I decided to use both the Brothers Grinn AND Mechanic Leigh.
MECHANIC LEIGH: Heh! Heh! Heh!
As you can well imagine, I’m regretting it. Anyway, all good wishes for the week ahead 🙂

always good to hear from Mechanic Leigh – one of my favorites
Hello Bill,
Mechanic Leigh is some character, isn’t he. He knows that you are one his fans from way back 🙂
Cheers!
Eric
P/s. I see you’ve stopped uploading blog posts.
I’m reading a week late, but I needed it more this week – all those voices and characters in your head you must be exhausted/ confused.
Hello Sarah,
These boys try to but I keep them out, and let them loose on a tight leash 🙂
Cheers!
Eric
Thanks for the ‘grins’, Eric! Perfect for my Monday, too! 🙂
Good to know, Lauren 🙂
And you’re very welcome,
Eric
Happy wishes to you, too, Eric.
Thank you, Ina 🙂
I’m trying to figure out who’s the terror – Mister Sir, Ghost Writer or God. Regardless, I think none can frighten Brothers Grinn or Mechanic Leigh, as they are all motormouths. What a bunch of cheerful characters. LOL.
Hello Windy,
You’re right. The day these three motormouths learn to keep quiet – the sun will rise in the west.
Cheers!
Eric
Managing two personalities is hard enough, but three!! Heh, heh, heh. This puts Monday off to a roaring start.
Good (Monday) morning, Jane,
You said it dear.
I started writing the dialogue and the characters came alive – as they usually do – and I immediately regretted it. Frankly, this is one reason why I’m resisting sequels. Seriously, these 3 lads can be quite draining – though I do laugh too.
Glad to have given you a roaring start to the week.
Cheers!
Eric
P/s. Have not read any recent post from you. I trust the grandchildren are keeping you happily occupied.
Mechanic Leigh is giving them a bad time there. LOL
You’re right, Ian
And I’m mostly staying out of their way.
Cheers!
Eric
Have a good week too
Thank you, Onyango
Let’s embrace the week.
Cheers!
Eric
