Life without friends would be bleak…
A few friends who go the extra miles for you is worth more than the dozens that stood afar to watch. Some are fortunate to have many friends to lend a pair of hands anytime. But if you only have a few, just count your blessings that you are not alone.
Many try to be true friends. We need to reach out and do our part—as much as they too must invest in the climb.

I like that description. The pinnacle at the top narrows it down to those who have been closest to you long term, then there are the diminishing levels until you get down to contacts you make in business who are friendly but not real close. This is the first time I’ve seen that depicted as a pyramid.
