  1. There is so much said in these few words, Eric, and various interpretations. I thought of people and relationships…how some are quick to put down others, while some are born “encouragers” (my new word). I think that’s what I am or what I’d love to be if I had a second chance of deciding what path to take “when I grew up.” 🙂 Lastly, some may simply be honest with a truth that might hurt, but with a genuine intention of nudging the other in a more positive direction. Does this make sense?
    Enjoy your week!

    1. Thank you, Lauren,
Obviously, you had delved deep and discovered many nuggets of truth. All that you say is true – all – and I cannot but agree with you totally.
      Peace,
      Eric
      P/s: Love that word – encouragers 🙂

  2. Makes me often wonder, does technology really bring advancement or demolish the basic humanity values we have. Perhaps in all times, it is about bringing out the good and not abusing the power and knowledge in hand.

Hope you have a good week ahead, Eric.

    1. Hello Windy,

There is no ‘bad’ technology, and it all depends on who, how and for what purpose it is wielded, I reckon.

Thank you and hope you have a great week ahead too 🙂

  3. A very important principle in dealing with our human inter-relationships which I know you were referring to Eric we can build or destroy lives of those we come in contact with.

    1. You latched on pretty well there, Ian.

Grandpa always reminded me: If you cannot say something nice about someone – don’t say it. If compelled to voice out, criticize the actions and words, but not the person, and give solutions.

Tried to live by this all my life. Challenging I admit, but nothing worthwhile is easy, is it.

      All good wishes,
      Eric

  4. The story of humanity. Many sites, especially in cities are used and reused by sucelssive generations, our hope that each iteration improves on those that went before. I expect that your usual depth of thought intended a broader interpretation!

    1. Hello Jane dear,

As I always say, all look into the same mirror and each sees something different. And what we see is right, correct and true for us. Years later, when we again look into that same mirror, hopefully we see something more – and that too will be right, correct and true for us. And so we (hopefully) develop.

The beautiful thing about interpreting any thought is – we are all right – always 🙂

And that is why I like uploading posts such as this – it provides insights from others and we continue to learn.

Your observations are true, for how else can humanity progress. Even if we sometimes take two steps back, as long as we cover it with three steps forward, that is evolution for the better. For the better because, evolution can also go the other way and become devolution.

All the best for the weekend,
      Eric
