    Thank you for your reply, and it only proves what a gracious soul you have, taking time to respond to all your admirers out there, taking time away from your busy schedule.

    I, in turn, have been a lout, a scoundrel, for not responding in a consistent fashion to all your wonderful posts. It just makes me realize how incredibly professional and poised you are, not only to provide your readers with fantastic prompts and posts, but to give back and provide encouraging and kind insights and advice to your legions of fans.

    Thank you, Eric. Even though my comments remain–for now–in the realm of the sporadic, I shall make it a point to stop by your fabulous site on a more consistent basis.

    I am quite sure your fan base will quite readily agree to my assessment of your generous soul.

    Great to be back, visiting your superb site. Excellent haiku there and, as evidenced by the preponderance of posts, quite thought-provoking indeed.

    Here is my simple take on it, if you can indulge my, at times, dormant muse:

    Pulchritudinous
    Breathtaking, ethereal
    Time reveals the Kore

    Succulent, rubescent, sweet and inviting yet, in the end, transitory, a fleeting glimpse, forever a tantalizing morsel.

      So good to have you visit and post your thoughts. I must confess that I’d to look up some of the words:
      Pulchritudinous – a person of great physical beauty.
      Kore – an ancient Greek statue of a young woman, standing and clothed in long loose robes.
      And all you say is true – a fleeting glimpse indeed in the realms of cosmic time.

      Mental dexterity is just as important, if not more so, than keeping the muscles toned, I reckon.

  4. There are mirrors that lie – make you slimmer, taller or fatter, but I don’t think they have one that lies about beauty. The mirrors do not have editing function yet. Neither is there a mirror that can reflect inner beauty 😢

      Your comments are always welcomed and mostly well-thought through. Mirrors that “lie” – yes, I know of them but overlooked until you reminded me here. Many thanks!
      But if you can look slimmer and taller – that by itself will be very welcomed by many, I reckon. Unfortunately, you are right – no editing function.
      A mirror that reflects inner beauty – for that we need special clairvoyant lenses, I suppose.

  6. I pride myself on hating the thought of plastic surgery and not being youth or weight loss crazy. However I do try to take care of myself and have daily beauty grooming.

      I subscribe to grooming too. And with each passing month, it gets easier – less hair on my head 🙂

  8. Hmm, I gave that one a lot of thought. Very true, true beauty is an inner thing much more than an outward beauty. Physical beauty is transient, but perhaps inner beauty is not? What do you think?

      There is much said about beauty – the beholder calls the shots and all…
      Inner beauty is arguably not transient but is often hidden by outward distractions. And it takes some discernment to recognize it, I reckon.
