“This is excellent steak.”

“Thank you. When it comes to meats, Joan is the best.”

“Pity she couldn’t join us. You guys sorted out your problems?”

“Yes.”

“How so?”

“You’re eating her.”

  1. Very creepy. Reminded me of some movie with Johnny Depp, but can’t remember the name. Anyway, you shocked me with the horror flash fiction which is so different than your other writing. But shock is in horror, so good job. Sincerely, Connie Webb

    1. Yes, I’m trying out different genres.

For example, my first novel (Beck & Call) is a business thriller/family saga and my second (Code Shield) delves into human trafficking/organised crime/flesh trade.

If enough people like my horror flicks, I might give horror a try…

      All good wishes, Eric

      1. You’re welcome.

Well, when we post a comment – it should show up as ‘Awaiting Moderation’ if not > it is probably in the spam folder.

    1. I took a bit of a chance writing this > as you know, I’m quite old-fashioned when it comes to marriage and love.

But, look out for the sequel > it is not wifey but his mistress on the dinner plate. (I’m old fashoined – but don’t use a shotgun – as some people do ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Fried Green Tomatoes is a movie in which a man was killed, and when an FBI agent came to investigate, the body was cooked up, and fed to the agent. He ate the evidence of the murder too.

      2. Oh, that (!) Fried Green Tomatoes ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks!

Well, I’m sure the agent was filled with knowledge – sorry, couldn’t help that sneak in ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. What he probably does not know is โ€“ his wife is so smart, it is his mistress on the dinner plateโ€ฆ

LOL now that’s a fun twist!

  3. A little gross after just having steak for supper. Luckily both husband and I played a part in preparation. Everyone here has been accounted for. Does make me want to learn the story leading up to dinner.

    1. Glad to know that all members of family are accounted for ๐Ÿ™‚

Storyline marinated – shall be served up in due course…pun unintended ๐Ÿ™‚

      Cheers, Eric
P/s posted a comment in your For Mom and Dad – went into spam, I reckon ๐Ÿ™

      1. Thank you Eric I will check on your comment. I looked forward to sinking my teeth into the main course of your story. I will also stop with all further puns. :- )
