Wisely you have spoken. Yes, true warriors know their weapons. These are not tools that inflict pain and death, but thoughts, words and actions that cloak our neighbour with love and life.
Very true. Many wise men and women (mortals all) have wielded these deceptively portent weapons – Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa to name a few…
Many events prompted me to write this – including that Dress Code issue with my parish priest. It is a pity, he avoids me but I pray for him…perhaps one day, he might be touched by His Love.
Many are going through the final journey towards their Baptism this week. Some might suffer self doubts…This poem/prayer is also for them as it is for us…
I have long believed that the opposite of love is not, as is generally held, hatred but fear. It is in fear that hate is rooted. Hate is like a dandelion; it will always regrow unless its root is completely removed.
Dear Ben – I read your poem about Hatred, outstanding work. You are right, the opposite of Love is not Hate but Fear…and it roots in the fertile soil of ignorance.
Thank you so much for your support and encouragement, Eric; both are much appreciated! 🙂

Nodding; I’ll quote for Martin Luther King, Jr. “I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant.”
Love has incredible power and is indeed the work of the holy warrior.
HE – the well spring of Love
HE – the personification of Love
HE is Love
Awesome! Thanks Eric. What a Savior!
HE is the ONE 🙂
True warriors shun the metal sword.

Those words give me, and I’m sure countless others, the strength to overcome whatever may lie ahead.
This is such a powerful comment. Thank you.
If we can touch one person a day (beyond family), then that day was lived well, I reckon.
All good wishes with your journey, Eric

Hello Que, well done and congratulations. Thank you for sharing this joy with me. Much appreciate this, Eric 🙂
what powerful weapons you wield…very true and inspiring =)
Very true. Many wise men and women (mortals all) have wielded these deceptively portent weapons – Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa to name a few…
This is the greatest victory in the history of the world.
Perhaps true, as after more than 2,000 years, so many celebrate this victory…
WOW ERIC …….
POWERFUL …….
Thank you Cat. Hope the week started well for you. Cheers, Eric
IT DID AND IT IS …….
SUPER LOVELY IMAGE 🙂
A TRUE ARTIST =YOU !
a task not for everyone, but worth trying by everyone.
Wise words, Sharmishtha – there is merit even in trying, I reckon. Peace, Eric
The love message is what makes our belief system so relevant in our tragic world.
Very true Ian…so, there is hope yet
Love is the defenceless weapon, indeed. A great start for the Holy Week.
Yes, Love may be ‘defenceless’ as in a peaceful weapon but it is probably the most powerful, I reckon.
prayer and poem, approaching unity.
thanks for sharing it.
You are very welcome. Have a great week ahead, Eric
Eric,
“…With Love..”
Certainly. He leads the way.
A Glorious week to you!
XO Jen
Thank you Jen.

A glorious week to you too,
Eric
Just back from Palm Sunday services. I hope your Holy Week is meaningful and beautiful.
And so He walks into the lion’s jaws again…and again He will shed for us…and again He shall prevail…
Yearly, we are reminded but only to forget. How many more crucifixions, how much more suffering…before our hearts wet with His blood…
Thank you Alethea. All good wishes for Holy Week – Eric
Talk about “killing with love.” A great summation of what Lent is all about!
Many are going through the final journey towards their Baptism this week. Some might suffer self doubts…This poem/prayer is also for them as it is for us…
Lovely thoughts… mindfulness matters!
Thank you Aparna.
These sentiments transcend religions, I reckon.
Peace and luv, Eric

” Ignorance is not only not knowing, but also includes not wanting to know.”
A fine expression of faith.
Thank you.
When we follow His path, many obstacles face us – quite often wolves in sheep’s clothes…
Peace and luv, Eric
Beautiful, Eric, have a Blessed Sunday. ~ Julie

Yes, like many I have read Dr King. He is a great soul.
