I really like your work, I find it hard writing anything even close to the ‘inspirational’ kind of segment of poetry. So I do really appreciate what you’re trying to do. Thanks for checking out my page. And if you ever want some random person to discuss poetry with, hit me up.

It’s true! The things we strove for over the years do gather dust as we look back on them. The most important achievement is not the glamour of celebrity or to be at the top of your profession but is found in different kinds of memories. Memories of people helped along the way and good deeds done.

(I thoroughly enjoyed this too. Perhaps one day we ought to set up a post and invite all our blogger friends to contribute. It will be a blast. Thank you very very much Peter. Good night.)

Thank you Lexi and you are very welcome. All good wishes, Eric
amazing truth Eric. If we note the stars of yesteryears we will vow on the reality of these words.
Dear Sharmishtha,
TRUTH is timeless. We scribes (you, I and others) merely hold a light to it…
Peace, Eric
Lovely!
Hello Pak Subnan.
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same….Rudyard Kipling
Trophies are mere symbols of the above …..
Love to you buddy xxx
Dear Jane,
“Imposters” these are, for the real trophies are not bestowed by man.
Luv and hugz for my buddy,
Eric 🙂
Some have to be fought for to progress, some to complete our lesson in life. Fleeting yet meaningful is for you to discern which.
Very true what you say…
I refer to the materialistic trophies…
Very nice
Thank you 🙂
Reblogged this on The Mind of Chadman.
Thank you Chad. Much appreciate this. Cheers, Eric

You are so very right Ian. Memories of the good we did for others – these are the true trophies of our soul.
Oh..this one has a lot in it…bravo!
Glad you picked up the nuances and tangents. Thank you, Eric
Your blog site is really great, stories and graphics… great job. And thanks for liking my blog also.
Thank you Don. I plan to drop by again. Cheers, Eric
The worthwhile trophies are all contained within ourselves and gather no dust, for we are constantly questing and journeying!
This is truly spoken of you, Granbee
Not those that I won
But those that I freely gave
For my trophy, YOU
Or nameless hills in
Far Away forgotten lands
Wet with soldiers blood
Medal for a limb
Folded flag for shattered lives
Fair trade wouldn’t you say
The Sioux always had
The widows at war councils
They would speak their peace
“Leaders” speak money
Clothed in “nationality”
Young bleed, widows weep
Heroes heroin
Ban those dirty Taliban
Poppies for Harlem
