Just returned from church and feeling light 🙂

My singular thanks to Ray, blogging as novice journal, for passing the Candle Lighter Award on 12 January 2012. Though it is the second, I am completely thrilled and humbled. As all my blogger friends know, I simply love the sentiments behind this award > to be a Candle.

The Candle Lighter Award is an award for a post or blog that is positive and brings light into the world.  The Candle Lighter Award belongs to those who believe, who always survive the day and who never stop dreaming, who do not quit but keep trying.

There are no rules. If you wish to, simply accept it and you are done! You are also free to decline or ignore it.  Recipients can pass it on to as many nominees as they wish and as often as they wish. This does not diminish the weight attached to this award. On the contrary, I reckon it places a huge but welcomed burden on the person passing on the award.

With joyful heart, I recognise the following bloggers (not in any order of merit) as Candles and pass them this Candle Lighter Award:

We shall not go into why the above bloggers are worthy as Candles. I have always maintained that we all look into the same mirror but each takes away a different image. Do visit these wonderful bloggers, get to know them and maybe, like me, you too will take away something lovely.

All good wishes to recipients and well-wishers, Eric

  1. Congratulations AGAIN, Eric, Ray at NoviceJournal is a most worthy nominator. I also love L Scott Poetry. Be well, Shine your light all over the place!

  2. Congrats for the award Eric and thank you for nominating me :). Sorry I’m a little late here, been busy in my real-life. But oh well, thanks for the nomination 🙂

  3. Congratulations on your nomination and thank you, Eric. I am honored that you have nominated me for the Candle Lighter Award. As always, I think you are an extremely gifted writer.

    Best Wishes,
    Eva

    1. Hello Eva,
Hope you’ve had a great weekend.
Thank you and congratulations to you too. Do take your time and don’t let any of this build any stress.
      All good wishes,
      Eric

  4. Congratualtions! You, Steph, and Aslan just stay in the spotlight! 🙂 …but very well deserved.

I just told Aslan I can tell by his blog and yours, I have been offline for a few days and have a lot of reading to catch up on. All kind of good things happened while I was away.

  5. Eric, I really am so touched & honored. By now, you have an idea of how much my blog means to me, and I know you value yours as well. I am so flattered. I want to stay up & do this right now, but want to be sure I take the time to compile the right list for this award, so it may take me a few days. But, truly, i can’t say thanks enough. Coming from someone as inspiring & really talented as you are, i’m greatly honored. lol. Maybe by the time i make the post, i can think of a more creative word than ‘honored’ or ‘flattered’, both sound incredibly cliche, for how sincerely I wish to thank you. May God bless you & all those you love and pray for. ~unwritten truth

ps. you deserve this award more than any other site i’ve been to. Truly

    1. You are very welcome and thank you for your kind words. There is no need to rush…take your time.

Regarding the clichés (honoured & flattered) no worries, I understand. But I shall give you a hint (more than a hint, really), if you feel right…call me ‘friend’. That would be nice thanks.

      All good wishes, Eric

  6. I have now made a text document containing these words: “Congratulations on your award dear Eric”, so I can copy and paste them here. Saves some time as i do not have to type them every time. With all the awards you are collecting it comes in very handy. 😀
But you deserved it, lovely Eric (as Jane calls you). Congratulations!!!!!
Love, kiss and a big hug
    Steph (who likes you) xx

    1. 🙂 Hide it well, bury it deep, but your true heart I see
Every once in a while, a mischievous streak breaks free 🙂

Thank you and Luv & Hugz,
      Eric
