My heartfelt thanks to Terri, blogging as What about God, for the Candle Lighter Award. It is so exciting to receive a completely new award. Something about this name – Candle Lighter – that makes this award so special.

Terri, unsurprisingly, has been nominated three (3) times for this award. You ought to check out her posts.

The Candle Lighter Award is an award for a blog or post that is positive and brings light into the world.

RULES > Whenever you see a blog or post you think brightens the world, give them The Candle Lighter Award. Recipients can accept or decline. What does the recipient have to do > simply accept and nothing more! You can paste this image on your blog, if you wish, and you are done! (I think Jane will love these rules) If you reckon someone else is a Candle, pass it on, anytime and as many times and to as many people. Come on and help me brighten up all our lives!

Here goes my immediate list and not in any order of merit:

Jane Thorne … http://janeannethorne.wordpress.com/

Granbee … http://granbee.wordpress.com/about/

Tanveer Rauf …. http://tanveerrauf.wordpress.com/about/

Aslan Kanshaw … http://aslankanshaw.wordpress.com/

Grandfathersky…. http://grandfathersky.wordpress.com/about/

Nae’s Nest ….. http://naesnests.wordpress.com/

Lostupabove …. http://lostupabove.wordpress.com/

Celestealluvial …. http://celestealluvial.wordpress.com/about/

🙂 I hope all of you would accept this award and continue to be the candles you are. God bless 🙂

    1. Thank you and you are very welcome.
We need to support each other and in any event, I enjoy my visits to your blog.
      Cheers, Eric
P/s My ‘kids’ are now adults – 28, 24 and 20 years old.

  2. Hello Lovely Eric and this award is well deserved buddy…you shine a very bright light. I am so touched that you have passed this award onto me and feel humbled that you take the time to not only read my warblings but to pass on this award. I will pass this honour onto others. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and please know how your shining light has enriched my life…love Jane x

    1. Hello Jane, you are very welcome and it is my pleasure.
I don’t want to sound ambitious or pompous, but all of us can together brighten up each others journeys.
      Luv and hugz, Eric

  3. I am so excited to BE NOMINATED FOR candle LIGHTER award. ITS JUST BECAUSE OF YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT DEAR ERIC. THANKS A MILLION FOR MAKING MY DAY. God bless you always Eric. keep smiling

    1. Dearest Tanveer,
Your words flow like the purest of milk over my heart.
Continue to shine with the blessing of God,
      Eric
P/s For those of you who consider this comment intriguingly strange…it is a feeble translation of an old Tamil (Indian) saying. Tanveer is an accomplished translator of dozens of books (more than 70, I believe).

  4. Thank you so very much, kind Eric, for this high honor you have bestowed upon my blog. As I replied to you in my blog’s About section, I am totally immersed right now is converting dream paintings into illustrations for my adult fairy tale series, much of which you are reading on my blog these days. I hope to complete the required steps to accept this nomination formally in a week or so. Congratulations on your award. You are more than deserving. I also follow Jane Thorne and definitely want to check out Grandfather Sky. Be well!

    1. Thank you granbee for your gracious words. Please do take your time…May you meet abundant success in your endeavours. All good wishes from an admirer and friend, Eric 🙂

  5. Dear Eric

My dear old friend, let me congratulate (again) with your nomination for the Candle Lighter Award, needless to tell you that if there is one person around here who deserves it, it is you.
How can I thank you for nominating me for the Candle Lighter Award. It’s such an honour to have been nominated by someone as talented as you and an even greater honour to hear you say that my posts bring a little light to the world. I do agree that the poems I post, all of them written by not the least amongst the poets, do, but I’m nothing more than the publisher publishing the book, all the merit is the writer’s.
    Thank you so much.

    Love and a big hug

    Steph

    1. Dear Steph,
A tree spreads its branches, not knowing the shade it provides…but those taking refuge from the blistering sun, they know. Those who see your candles, they’ll know.
Please enjoy the candle and continue to light some more.
      Hugz, Eric
