What a lovely and welcomed surprise and to think that I started blogging less than 2 months ago!
Thank you Art Epiphany for nominating me for “The Versatile Blogger Award” You humble me with your recognition.
I understand the rules are as follow:
1. Thank the award-giver and link back to them in your post – Done with singular pleasure 🙂
2. Share 7 things about yourself – Let me clean my trumpet 🙂
3. Pass this award along to 15 recently discovered blogs you enjoy reading – Tough one, this
4. Contact your chosen bloggers to let them know about the award – Love to be a courier of good tidings 🙂
Seven things about myself:
1. I started the blog to share my poems, went into The Life of Mechanic Leigh, micro-fictions and into Thoughts & Reflections – all in 6 weeks!
2. I use mostly UK English in my blog posts as opposed to USA English. In Singapore, most people speak a local version called Singlish!
3. I speak 5 languages and used to swear in 7 more! (Used to…)
4. I can speak English with a heavy French accent – though I don’t speak French!
5. In the military, I used to be a DI – drill instructor. We used mostly Bahasa Melayu – the National Language of Singapore.
6. Currently, I am learning German and can get by.
7. I learnt to count up to 35 and stopped – that is my age, if you ask me. (My wife reminds me that I am 56 – she learnt to count up to 100 and beyond).

Congratulations on your award.
🙂 Thank you 🙂
Congratulations!
I love your header picture. I could get lost in that one straight hall, drowning out the world. Beautiful!
Thank you Christine for the congratulations.
The header is a standard picture for this template and it is awe inspiring, nostalgic and wonderfully calming, I reckon.
Have a great start to the year ahead,
Eric
Congratulations and Happy Holidays!
Thank you Jessie and all good wishes, Eric
Thanks, guess I have to find a few more bloggers!
Hello Richard,
Your efforts fully deserve this award. Take your time and let this not turn into a chore. Eric 🙂
Hi Sir Eric,
I has just nominated you as a versatile blogger for “The Versatile Blogger Award” check my page at http://aljonpartz.wordpress.com/awards/… I hope you appreciate it!
Looking forward for more post soon,
JOn
Hello Jon,
Thank you for thinking of me and I really appreciate that you want to nominate me for the award. But as I nominated you – I don’t think that you can turn around and re-nominate me (!).
All the other 14 nominees are worthy, I can see.
Please be kind enough to delete my name and nominate another (deserving) blogger – there are many out there.
I am sorry to hear that you are away from your family during this joyous period – but God is with you, son, and He is the best anyone can ask for.
Love you like my son, Eric
Thank you Eric for taking a snoop at the Diary. The happiest of New Years to you 😀
Hello Simon, thank you for your visit and comment.
I enjoyed the ‘snoop’ 🙂 You have written some lovely poems and I will be back to relish them when I catch some time.
All good wishes, Eric
I also nominated you for the award! Congrats!
Thank you, Jen – you are so very kind and thoughtful.
Wow! I already received one Versatile Blogger Award – I wonder how this works! Hmm, I will check out the other award winners and see what they did.
Peace, Eric
Congratulations Eric! Keep on blogging! I love that…’Singlish’ 🙂
@vixytwix
Thank you and congratulations on your Versatile Blogger Award too.
Don’t know how you manage with that busy family of yours.
Cheers, Eric
(P/s – One day, I’ll post in Singlish…probably lose all my readers!)
congratulations!
may I ask,, does it mean if you are nominated then you are awarded with the award instantly? coz i have been nominated with several awards, just asking how do you know if you are awarded? i have been blogging for less than two months too.. 🙂
Hello Scorpio Girl,
Thank you for your congrats.
If you refer to Liebster & Versatile Blogger awards – I would say, Yes, nominated means awarded! People are coy I suppose, instead of saying ‘awarded’ they prefer the less pompous ‘nominated’. I may be wrong but this is my understanding.
Congratulations on your awards – keep at it 🙂
Eric
Love that scorpio girl 🙂
Thanks u for explaining 🙂 i get i now.. I just thought someone decides who the award goes to 🙂
Congrats once again 🙂
You are very welcome and thank you.
I read some of your posts…Scorpio Girl…that is you 🙂

Hello…Stranger,
Nice of you to drop by.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🙂
Eric,
Congratulations! You are certainly very deserving.
-Frank
Thank you Frank 🙂
You are very deserving of an award. Congratulations! I hope you will stay on WordPress. I like the word “Singlish” – a lot of people say our N.E. English accent is like we are singing … sounds apt for us too.
Coming from an award winner yourself – this is high compliment.
Yes! Singlish does have a sing-song wave to it 🙂
Thank you for stopping by and for your comment,
Eric
P/S I intent to keep blogging on WordPress
