Little Timmy broke a window,
lied to his apathetic parents
and swore in school – yet he
received an iPad this year
Johnny got in too many fights
took the last cookie from the jar
and tied a slinky to his cat – yet still
received a Nintendo 3DS under his tree.
Allie stopped going to church
found god on a street corner
and started writing Arabic ghazals – still
received a low-cut skirt this holiday.
What to get Santa for Christmas?
He must have everything in the world.
If one this is for certain,
he has run clean out of coal.
