Artwork @ Eric Alagan, 2011 (Not much of a painter but…)

Each a jigsaw piece
For His tapestry
Each with a part to play
For no two the same

Some take centre stage
Others, the edge
Some brightly coloured
Others, white and pale

When one is lost
A void remains
When you are lost
All Creation fails

    1. Here we go, Ian – terribly sorry that I missed your comment.
      But better late than…
You’re right of course, we are all important players.
      Cheers!
      Eric

  1. Well said and well painted, Eric Didn’t know you did that too. I wish I had your talent to write and to paint.
I only paint windows, wall and doors occasionally, my writing you know, for the rest of the time I think I’m off-stage. 😉
    Love

    Steph

    1. Glad you liked it, Steph.
Painting is not really a talent I have…I dabble in it but…
But guess what, I too can paint windows, walls and doors…and I famously mess up the floor – ask Lisa 🙂
      Luv and hugz,
      Eric

      1. Even when painting walls, etc. you”re more gifted than I am. I never manage to paint the wall AND the floor at the same time. I envy Lisa to have such a talented man (but, as I read somewhere else, not so romantic when it comes to asking a girl)? 😉

        Steph xx

      2. Okay Steph, paint the wall and the floor, I take that as a nice compliment. If you like to know, I also end up painting myself and the children’s pet hamsters. That’s talent for you 🙂
Regarding that romance thingy, when God was giving out ‘romance gifts’ I was busy cleaning up the mess I made, I reckon 🙂

    1. Thank you and I much appreciate you trawling through my older posts. Yes, all the poems in my blog are mine…Hope they trigger a tiny ripple in whoever reads them. Cheers, Eric

      1. @four blue hills photo blog
You are kind with your compliments and I am glad you enjoy your visits to my blog.
        All good wishes, Eric

  2. Beautiful artwork, in-depth poem – each has its part to play. Both the art piece and the poem is a profound self expression from the author. Fantastic.

    1. Hello Jasey – thank you for your kind words. I am quite surprised that people like my artwork. Really, my effort is quite ordinary…and the wife is patient even though I mess up the living room 🙂

  3. Eric the painting is amazing. I have just sat contemplating it while drinking my morning cup of tea. I want to continue gazing at it, it brings me a sense of peace.
