A tall man with a gentle handsome face and blue eyes stood before Daniel. A brilliant yellow glow outlined his body.
A Golden Being, Daniel thought.
A faint laughter mingled with enchanting scents wafted in the air.

Daniel lost track of time as he stood still with arms outstretched and eyes closed. He gave himself to the magical liquid as it slipped up and down his body, massaging away all the age-old guilts, pains and decay.
At length, he opened his eyes in drowsy intoxication. It was a few moments before he realised he was below water. God, no! That white-water rafting accident! Panic!
“Help! I’m drowning –”

I can’t wait to read more. You definitely have a gift for grabbing and holding one’s attention. I love it. I hope that one day I can grab and hold the readers attention like this.
Well Susan dear – that recent post of yours was some thriller and of real-life too. You got it, believe me. When we write from experience (versus perhaps from pure imagination) it flows better I reckon.
Luv and hugz,
Eric
P/s I think I just dropped a hint about my writings
Very good…. now, where’s the rest?…
Hello Ned,
Stay tuned for next intallment Thursday 7th Feb.
Daniel is no fool–He almost makes me think of doubting thomas–wants to believe but won’t let himself go. I just thought of this–Lord of the Rings–holding on to what he knows–afraid to fall and be lost.
Connie, you’re reading Daniel very well.
The Third has a strong hold on him – as it does on all Newcomers. He, like everyone else, tries to relate all his encounters in the Astral to what he is familiar with on earth. Takes time to shed the Illusion and accept Reality.
The Eye sees only what the Mind recognises.
You certainly know how to wrap us all up in the story. The art of a master story teller.
You’re a generous one, Ian.
Hope the flood waters did not affect you. From what I saw on ABC, in some parts it was worse than before.
Some smaller towns are without electricity still. They described this as an ex-cyclone. I would not want to be near a real cyclone! We live in a very safe area but we were without electricity of 12 hours even so.
“massaging away all the age-old guilts, pains and decay.” — An ablution, indeed. Awaiting for the continuation to unfold and discover more treasures from your mind.
A stunning manifestation, dear mate Eric. Love & blessings.
So very right Shaheen dear – it is an ablution. Thank you for your visits and encouraging words – fuel that keeps us writers going.
Much luv and blessings go with you too, Eric
I understand that feeling of being deflated.. You really created that moment in the story well.. Intriguing!
Thank you Christy B.
You know what they say – been there, done that – or is it, suffered that?
Daniel is all of us really. Frightened and uncertain. This is wonderful storytelling Eric.
Thank you Val – I notice that you’ve picked up on Daniel’s character. Your comment helps to assuage me somewhat as I was anxious whether it would come through – that Daniel is actually a composite of all of us.
Peace, Eric
Very pleasing! I can draw some similarity between The Jordan River and The River Ganga (in India). Both the rivers seem to serve the same purpose.
That is the idea, Ramu.
Yes, the Ganga is rich with history and central to many ancient beliefs and practices in India, right up to this day. I have not visited it but have seen several documentaries. I hope, like you, readers extrapolate and relate Daniel’s encounters and reactions to their own beliefs and experiences. No right or wrong.
As I always held – all peer into the mirror and each takes away a different image.
Peace, Eric
Strange, interesting… Will keep track.
Thank you for your visit and calling card. I hope subsequent episodes maintain that intrigue.
When Shakespeare said the world is a stage and we are all actors – reckon that’s what he meant. Where we are now is illusion, where we are from is reality. But see, another provocative thought you have incited in us. You have the ability to make us question our beliefs, look things from a different perspective. That’s what make your writing captivating.
Dear Jasey,
Alternate beliefs can be provocative as it challenges the norms. This fiction series is not to upset but rather, to consider – just consider – the possibilities. Let our imaginations take us – belt up and marvel
Thank you for your visit and comment,
Eric
Hmm…things are getting interesting here. Will check out the next installment!
Thank you Janna – next installment due Thursday, 7 Feb. Thanks for following, Eric
the water which is alive..interesting imagination..the first I’ve heard of Nehar Hayarden..
Hebrew > Nehar Hayarden > to the Arabic > Nahr al-Urdun > to the English > Jordan.
Eric dear, you are a wonderful writer keen observer and fine human being, thanks for being there:) encouraging me
Hello Tanveer dear,
So lovely of you to drop by – and with gifts of praise (as usual).
Peace, luv and hugz,
Eric
Descriptive and tickles the imagination, yet contains many hidden meanings to ruminate upon, like the Golden Being, putrefaction of flesh, the living waters, the meadows and hills standing in obeisance. The pace of the writing accelerates and pushes the reader to ask, “What’s next”? Enjoyed this, Eric. Dee
Very true Dee.
Many bread crumbs strewn before us – some of us merely peck them up, others follow the route.
It is obvious you see the road – the deep thinker you are.
Peace, Eric
I’m impressed by your discipline. You promise an piece for a certain date and you deliver. Great talent! Thanks for following.
Yes, it is a habit I suppose. Never promise anything, if I can’t deliver. But once promised, make sure that I deliver.
The “talent” part – okay, I accept with all humility
Thank you for the visit and comment. I see that you subscribed to my blog too – so we’ll be reading each other’s work more
Exceptional writing Eric — finally getting back to this series. I thought I had read the first couple but I don’t remember reading this one. Going to peruse them more slowly and savor them as they deserve to be.
Blessings, alia
Thank you Alia,
One can read it as a fiction and also as something more. To each his/her own.
Peace, Eric
Yes, I agree. It’s the same feeling I have about Aurora. One could read it as “sci-fi” or take it as a vision of a possible future.Either way, the energy of the vision gets into the Field and has an impact toward raising consciousness of the collective. In that regard, I don’t even concern myself too much about whether I attract more readers — the energy of our writings influences the Whole, much more than we can imagine or know, at least from this limited perspective.
I’m looking forward to continuing on with your series. I wrote down the title and the date of the last one I read, so that I can move on from there. Many blessings to you for you unique contribution, Alia
the story flows so well, Eric. and you have my full attention at the end, for I have a fear of drowning, but then, who doesn’t methinks?… Unless they are equipped with gills that is..
xx
If you subscribe to evolution theory – we all once sprouted gills.
Do fish ever drown – I wonder.
